Engineering

The scope of work from time to time will include, but is not limited to creating, documenting, developing, implementing procedures for planning, directing, and/or co-ordinating activities in such fields as engineering, architecture, etc., or research and development in these fields. In addition, the team is also responsible for ensuring that the Engineering Department conforms to the client’s distinct quality system procedures as documented.

The typical duties and responsibilities of the individual team members include, from time to time: establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety in product designs and applications; determine and enforce -- through functional groups - quality and safety requirements in accordance with the client’s real needs, based on current regulations and state-of-the art product development; evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of product designs, quality, reliability and safety; work with clients, as required, to ensure that products are conform to client requirements and meet the client’s needs; implement and maintain design control procedures, report on the performance of product engineering and improving product designs; establish procedures, and direct testing, operation, and maintenance; plan, direct, and co-ordinate activities of other staff, certify work, and write legal descriptions; analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, and confer with management, production, and marketing staff to plan and assess feasibility of project; plan, co-ordinate, and direct engineering projects, organize and assign staff, and direct integration of technical activities with products; evaluate contract proposals, direct negotiation of research contracts, and prepare bids and contracts; direct, review, and approve product design and changes, and direct testing; administer infrastructure planning, construction, and maintenance, and review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates; direct engineering of water control, treatment, and distribution; and confer with and prepare reports for officials and speak to public to solicit support.
