Scope of Work
The scope of work, from time to time, includes, but is not limited to the evaluation of the client’s financial position to determine tax and other liabilities; examination of records, tax returns, and all related documents; review of material data about the client’s assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures, and the analyses of financial data for deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, misrepresentation, misappropriation, mistakes or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies and the like.
 
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to the tasks identified above, the typical duties and responsibilities of a certified management accountant include, but are not limited to the examination of payroll and personnel records; examination of records and interviewing of workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with respective jurisdiction laws and regulations; analysis of annual financial reports, financial statements, and other records, utilizing accepted accounting and statistical procedures and principles to determine financial condition; inspection of cash-on-hand, financial instruments, notes, accounts receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and cancelled cheques; verification of all forms of journal and ledger entries; inspection of books of account and system for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions; filing of reports with board of directors and senior management pertaining to asset utilization and audit results, and recommending changes in operations and financial activities; and conferring with Haywood Dennis' officials about financial and regulatory matters in respect to the respective client.
