Scope of Work |
The scope of work, from time to time, in respect to Haywood Dennis' general corporate attorneys will include, but is not limited to: representing Haywood Dennis or its designated client concerning matters of general corporate and commercial legal matters, such as to draw up legal documents, and managing or advising clients on legal transactions, which the designated attorney may be specialized in, or in other areas of law, namely, securities, corporate, criminal and civil litigation and other legal proceedings. |
Typical Duties and Responsibilities |
The typical duties and responsibilities of the designated general corporate attorneys include, but are not limited to: examination of legal data to determine advisability of proceedings, defending or prosecuting lawsuits; studying constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies; interpretation of rulings, regulations, statutes, and laws, irrespective of the type of person (individuals and business); presenting evidence to defend Haywood Dennis or its respective client in civil or criminal litigation; presenting evidence to prosecute the defendant in civil or criminal litigation; representing Haywood Dennis or a given client in court or before government agency; searching for and examining public and other legal records to write opinions or establish ownership; acting as agent, trustee, guardian, or executor in respect to business affairs of a given stakeholder, executors and administrators of estates in respect to matters concerning the stakeholders of Haywood Dennis; preparation of opinions on legal issues; preparation of legal documentation drafts, such deeds of covenant, patent applications, mortgages, leases, contracts, and so forth; preparation and filing of legal briefs; conferring with specialized colleagues in areas of legal issues to establish and verify basis for legal proceedings or otherwise; evaluation of findings and development of strategy and arguments in preparation for presentation of case or presentation; gathering evidence to formulate defence or to initiate legal actions; advising Haywood Dennis or providing opinions to a given client concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending law suits, or legal rights and obligations; interviewing the clients and witnesses to ascertain facts; and, where the need arises conducting case examining and cross examining witnesses, and summarizing the case to judge or jury. |
